The family atmosphere of T's Learning Center is a nurturing and creative world. With humble beginnings 20 years ago as an in-home day care mainly providing for military families; our reputation for a quality care quickly spread. As a result, T’s Learning Center out-grew its home. It was time to start the journey of expanding its borders while maintaining its adherence to a quality child care.
T’s Learning Center opened its first facility’s doors in 1998. It was a small childcare center with eight classrooms providing care for just a handful of children and afterschool care for children from the surrounding schools.
After several years of success due to an amazing natural word-of-mouth activity, T’s Learning Center opened its second location on Beach Blvd in 2001. As we reached this milestone, we discovered that we had built a positive “can do” association in our mind with accompanying increased positive feelings about our task and chosen course of action.
We continued to grow and provide quality care. Within a few short years, the community had an overwhelming interest in T’s Learning Center, so in 2003 we expanded to the Baymeadows area.
Our story continues in 2005 with the state of Florida adopting the Voluntary Prekindergarten program for children who were four years old. In response to the State’s call for Kindergarten readiness training, T’s Learning Center opened classrooms in each of our three locations thereby offering VPK.
In 2007, our first T’s Learning Center location rapidly expanded to twice its original size; opening an additional five classrooms; two of which offered VPK.
As with any growth of a company; we wanted to be true to our core values. Our ultimate objective is to maintain the quality of care and the appropriate education levels at all of our centers. To achieve that goal, we employed a third party national early learning program accreditation childcare evaluation team, APPLE, to assess our centers and programs. T’s Learning Center’s standard of care was measured against the best. We received APPLE accreditation in all of our locations. This voluntary assessment is in addition to the licensure required by the Division of Children and Families.
Gaining confidence that our philosophy of quality childcare was a huge success encouraged T’s Learning Center to open a fourth facility in the Monument/Arlington area in 2010. Our customer service and the loyalty of the people in the area have made this center successful.
When T’s Learning Center in the Baymeadows area out-grew its building in 2015 we moved the business to a newly designed building off of Gate parkway. It was a move that gave us more room and possibilities; both of which we have been very grateful to have.
Having a vision for a T’s Learning Center in the St Johns area, gave rise to a new facility in summer of 2016, which is located by Nocatee parkway off of US 1.
Looking back, it has been an amazing journey; one that continues with a bright future. We built the operational and educational foundation that is T’s Learning Center. Along the way we have been honored to have been involved with some very amazing people who have each contributed a stone on this foundation making T’s Learning Center what it is today.
